Celebrate 10 Years of Minion Rush with an In-Game Globe-Trotting World Tour

Grab your running shoes and commemorate this incredible milestone with new costumes, game content, community contests, and more inspired by Minion Rush communities from around the world


PARIS, FRANCE - February 21, 2023 – Gameloft, in collaboration with Illumination and Universal Games and Digital Platforms, today announced news of global proportions. The Minions are packing their bags and going on the road in celebration of 10 years of the hit mobile game Minion Rush, which is inspired by Illumination and Universal Pictures’ Despicable Me, the most successful animated film franchise in history. Since launching a decade ago, Minion Rush has become one of the most popular and widely downloaded mobile games of all time, with more than 1 billion downloads across iOS, Android, and other supporting devices, and was also the first mobile game based on a film property to reach the 1 billion downloads milestone.


The Minion Rush World Tour will be making in-game stops to celebrate top players all around the globe, with each month focused on a specific country and filled with fun and unique digital activities designed around the game’s 10 year anniversary. Activities awaiting players include community contests, themed in-game content, user-generated content, and more.


All year long, the Minions will be celebrating in-game in the following countries, with special stops and other surprises along the way announced later:
