DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie 

arrives in theaters nationwide September 26, 2025


Universal City, Calif. – DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is taking over The Grove in Los Angeles with an immersive fan event to celebrate the theatrical release of the first ever cinematic adventure from DreamWorks Animation’s global smash streaming series. The film arrives in theaters nationwide September 26, 2025. 


Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie Experience brings Gabby’s world to ours with a giant Gabby’s Dollhouse at The Grove. The Experience will open to the public starting on September 21 and will run through September 28. The week-long event promises to transport visitors into Gabby’s vibrant, joyful and ‘pawsome’ world.


Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie Experience has partnered with an exhilarating lineup of A-list partners who will offer exclusive, exciting experiences for guests, offering endless opportunities for fun photos and play. 


Presented by Universal Products & Experiences, in collaboration with Amazon, an immersive play area will feature the all-new Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie consumer product line, inviting fans to celebrate the magic of play with new, innovative items spanning all major categories, including toys, publishing, lifestyle, fashion and tech.


At the heart of The Experience will be a themed product display showcasing the movie toy assortment, including Spin Master’s Meow-mazing Dollhouse featuring LCD interactive eyes and technology that connects to the Meow-mazing Interactive Pandy Paws Plush, as well as the Interactive Ears. 


Guests will have the chance to browse, interact and even make purchases inside The Experience. To make the shopping experience seamless, shoppable QR codes will be provided, allowing fans to easily order items directly on Amazon.com. Prime members can enjoy fast, free delivery on their orders.  


Fans attending The Experience are also invited to take photos with the Gabby’s costumed character, get their nails painted with free manicures from ella+mila, get their hands dirty at the CAMP Schmutz bar, color in the Gabby Cats at the Crayola coloring wall, create arts and crafts with their friends, enjoy sweet treats from Sweet P’s Bake Shop, let loose in the Game Room and be among the first to play the new Gabby’s Dollhouse video game from Outright Games: DreamWorks Gabby's Dollhouse: Ready to Party.


Available September 19, the brand-new 3D narrative adventure game invites players to join Gabby and Pandy Paws as they get ready for a big celebration. Using the dollhouse’s Catavator, players explore a vibrant dollhouse filled with colorful rooms, each bursting with unique activities, dozens of mini games, and delightful surprises. DreamWorks Gabby’s Dollhouse: Ready to Party will be available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Microsoft Store.

DreamWorks Animation elevates its global smash streaming series into its first ever cinematic adventure with Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie

 

Since the debut of the Gabby’s Dollhouse series in 2021, kids around the world have been having one big sprinkle party with Gabby and her friends on Netflix. Created by celebrated storytellers Traci Paige Johnson and Jennifer Twomey, Gabby's Dollhouse is a mixed media preschool series that unboxes a surprise before jumping into a fantastical animated world full of adorable cat characters that live inside Gabby’s dollhouse.

 

In the new film, Gabby (Laila Lockhart Kraner, reprising her role from the series) heads out on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi (four-time Grammy Award winner Gloria Estefan) to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco. But when Gabby’s dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera (Oscar® nominee Kristen Wiig), Gabby sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together and save the dollhouse before it’s too late.


The all-star comedic voice cast includes Saturday Night Live powerhouses Ego Nwodim, Kyle Mooney and Melissa Villaseñor, as well as Emmy nominee Thomas Lennon (Reno 911!, American Dad!), Jason Mantzoukas (Invincible, Big Mouth), and Fortune Feimster (Fortune Feimster: Crushing It, Velma). The beloved series voice cast reprises their roles as Pandy Paws, CatRat, Cakey, DJ Catnip, Baby Box, MerCat and more. 

 

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is directed by Ryan Crego (executive producer of Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh, I Heart Arlo), who earned a Children’s and Family Emmy nomination for his television feature Arlo the Alligator Boy. The film is produced by Steven Schweickart, who has served as a production supervisor or co-producer on some of DreamWorks Animation’s biggest blockbusters including How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods and most recently, Kung Fu Panda 4, which has earned more than $500 million worldwide. The film is executive produced by Jennifer Twomey and Traci Paige Johnson, based on the Gabby’s Dollhouse series created by them.

 

This year, according to Nielsen, the Gabby’s Dollhouse series has been the most-viewed streaming original series for kids. Netflix expanded the series to 100 total episodes, and the 12th season begins on Netflix November 17, 2025.
