Universal City, CA – Universal Products & Experiences (UP&E) is celebrating the magic of play with new, innovative products and retail experiences inspired by the upcoming theatrical release of DreamWorks Animation’s Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, the first-ever cinematic adventure for the global hit streaming series, debuting in theaters globally on September 26, 2025. Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie will feature Kristen Wiig and Gloria Estefan, who join Laila Lockhart Kraner, reprising her role from the beloved streaming series.
In less than five years, UP&E, in partnership with DreamWorks Animation, has built Gabby’s Dollhouse into a powerhouse franchise, spanning award-winning consumer products, Universal Destinations & Experiences theme park activations worldwide, a global touring stage production, and more.

Master toy partner Spin Master’s award-winning line has sold four million dollhouses since launch, creating an interactive show-to-shelf play experience that mirrors the series. With playsets, figures, plush, games and puzzles, Spin Master continues to deliver innovation with a brand-new Meow-mazing Dollhouse featuring LCD interactive eyes and technology that connects to the Meow-mazing Interactive Pandy Paws Plush as well as the Interactive Cat Ears and so much more.
Video games continue to provide Gabby’s Dollhouse fans with new and exciting ways to engage with the brand like never before. Available exclusively on the award-winning Nex Playground console, Gabby’s Dollhouse: A-meow-zing Moves is an interactive, motion-controlled game that allows players to explore Gabby’s magical dollhouse and enjoy activities such as racing, baking, dancing, bubble popping, gardening, and painting. Starting with two mini-games at launch, the fun has grown to include six mini-games, offering even more opportunities to explore and play. A new multiplatform console game from Outright Games is also set to launch alongside the film later this year, offering even more ways for fans to explore Gabby’s world. Additionally, Gabby’s Dollhouse continues to expand in the digital space, with new experiences available on Roblox.
Additionally, Reebok is launching a capsule collection featuring two styles with character-inspired details, light-up features, and vibrant prints that transport children straight into Gabby’s colorful world. Launching globally May 29 at 10 a.m. ET, the capsule includes the Club C Revenge and Classic Leather ($50–$60 MSRP) and is available in preschool and infant/toddler sizes.
Following the series’ launch in 2021, Universal Destinations & Experiences theme parks have brought Gabby’s Dollhouse to life through immersive real-world attractions. Meet-and-greets and exclusive merchandise are now featured at Universal Orlando Resort, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Beijing Resort, allowing fans to step into Gabby’s fantastical world. Fans will also be able to meet and play with Gabby in a unique immersive retail experience at Universal Kids Resort, a first-of-a-kind resort specifically designed and developed for families with young children opening in Frisco, Texas in 2026. In partnership with DreamWorks Animation and TEG Life Like Touring, Gabby’s Dollhouse Live launched this past March in Australia and will begin touring North America this fall, bringing fans a dynamic stage experience inspired by the series. In the new film, Gabby (Laila Lockhart Kraner, reprising her role from the series) heads out on a road trip with her Grandma Gigi (four-time Grammy Award winner Gloria Estefan) to the urban wonderland of Cat Francisco. But when Gabby’s dollhouse, her most prized possession, ends up in the hands of an eccentric cat lady named Vera (Oscar® nominee Kristen Wiig), Gabby sets off on an adventure through the real world to get the Gabby Cats back together and save the dollhouse before it’s too late.
Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie is directed by Ryan Crego (executive producer of Home: Adventures with Tip & Oh, I Heart Arlo), who earned a Children’s and Family Emmy nomination for his television feature Arlo the Alligator Boy. The film is produced by Steven Schweickart, who has served as a production supervisor or co-producer on some of DreamWorks Animation’s biggest blockbusters including How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods and most recently, Kung Fu Panda 4, which has earned almost $500 million worldwide.
The film is executive produced by Jennifer Twomey and Traci Paige Johnson, based on the Gabby’s Dollhouse series created by them.
In 2024, according to Nielsen, the Gabby’s Dollhouse series was the ninth-most-viewed streaming original series. Netflix expanded the series to 100 total episodes, and the 11th season debuted on Netflix in February 2025.
